To maintain and develop website presence both internally and externally, and to ensure all online products follow best practice in design, usability, and branding and ensure the ongoing stability of the sites and their continuing improvement.

Responsible with the web team for the ongoing maintenance and development of the web presence including responding to problems with access quickly by fixing the website or escalating the problem to support contractors.

Provide ongoing support to service teams on how to improve their online presence - via website, intranet or Web 2.0 - through better design, information architecture, usability and use of the available corporate online tools.

Deliver a training programme for training content authors of the corporate website and intranet content management systems and web 2.0 platforms including delivering seminars and training sessions and writing training manuals.

Support content authors post training in developing their online skills to ensure they keep continually improve their directorate’s online presence (both internal and external) through a robust maintenance content model and a series on ongoing skills improvements in online tools and usability.

Use graphic design products such as Adobe Photoshop to create banners, icons and small graphic spotlights in order to improve the design and graphic identity of the main website, intranet and web 2.0 products.

Along with the web team, responsible for Webdesk on a regular basis approving authors’ content, providing support to authors on the maintenance of their areas and identifying and fixing problems with any of the online systems that residents or authors identify.
